Intro to Reppahannock Flats

Constructed in the late 19th century, Rappahannock Flats is among some of the oldest residential dwellings in Minneapolis. As you would expect, this small 41-unit brownstone is brimming with authentic character, but units are hard to come by; only two have been placed on the market in the past five years.

Layouts vary quite a bit at Rappahannock, but all are single bedroom. As far as style, many historic details have been left intact, which means you can expect plenty of natural woodwork and built-ins, exposed brick walls and higher than average ceilings.

Community amenities at Rappahannock Flats include a shared rooftop deck and a lower-level party room that features its own hot tub, bar and guest bathrooms.

The Building

Rappahannock Flats was converted into condos several decades ago which means a lot of variation exists from one unit to the next, especially when it comes to kitchen and bathroom updates. In most of the lofts you can expect to find hardwood flooring, exposed brick walls and archways, wood burning fireplaces and 10-foot ceilings.

Compared to some of its neighbors, units at the Rappahannock are small, ranging from 600 to 1,254 square feet. One- and two-level (with spiral staircase) floor plans are available and residents have access to shared outdoor square footage on the back of the building.
