Originally built in 1964, River Towers remains Minneapolis’ first and largest downtown residential highrise. The complex, which lives on the corner of 1st & Marquette, consists of two buildings and more than 500 condos.

Inside you’ll find a collection of studios, one, two and three-bedroom condos. Layouts are traditional, favoring crisp lines, large windows and average ceiling heights. Spectacular skyline views can be seen from the south side of the building.

Beyond sheer size, amenities are what sets River Towers apart. The complex, which occupies more than five acres in the historic Gateway Park, offers a unique collection of amenities including a landscaped courtyard, a large outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts and a fitness center.

The present-day River Towers campus was once the location of downtown Minneapolis’ historic Gateway Park. Dedicated in 1915, promoters hoped the new park would revitalize the downtown area. Instead, Gateway Park and the surrounding district became Minneapolis’ own version of skid row until the area was redeveloped in the late 1950s.
