Rappahannock Flats
Brownstone with authentic characterConstructed in the late 19th century, Rappahannock Flats is among some of the oldest residential dwellings in Minneapolis. As you would expect, this small 41-unit brownstone is brimming with authentic character, but units are hard to come by; only two have been placed on the market in the past five years.
Layouts vary quite a bit at Rappahannock, but all are single bedroom. As far as style, many historic details have been left intact, which means you can expect plenty of natural woodwork and built-ins, exposed brick walls and higher than average ceilings.
Community amenities at Rappahannock Flats include a shared rooftop deck and a lower-level party room that features its own hot tub, bar and guest bathrooms.
The Rappahannock was one of the very first apartment buildings built in Minneapolis. Completed in 1895, it was named after a famous Civil War battle that took place in Virginia along the Rappahannock River.
Rappahannock Flats is situated along Elliot Park’s Ninth Historic District. The district consists of buildings built between 1886 and 1915.
